Mom Mode Privacy Policy

This policy covers the offline version of Mom Mode, published by Made in Mom Mode Co. This version does not require a Mom Mode account or provide account sync.
Information you enter
Mom Mode's focused offline features save your notes, to-dos, grocery items, important dates and calendar plans locally in this app installation. These features do not require a Mom Mode account and do not sync entries to Mom Mode's servers. Saved entries belong to each app installation and do not automatically transfer between devices or installations.
Backups and sharing
Export creates a readable JSON file containing these entries, completion/check states and dates. This file is not encrypted or password protected. Choose Save to Files or another destination yourself; opening the share sheet does not mean a backup was saved. Confirm the file exists outside the app before removing the app or its data.
Anyone who can access an exported file can read its contents. A chosen file provider or sharing service may upload it under that provider's own privacy policy. Device/operating-system backups may also copy app data according to your device settings. Mom Mode does not automatically upload these entries to a Mom Mode account.
Import, access and deletion
Import is optional. The app validates a selected file and shows a preview before you confirm a merge. Matching entries are skipped and existing entries are kept. If an import fails or is interrupted, the app attempts to restore your pre-import entries. Editing pauses if recovery cannot complete.
You can view, edit and delete entries in the app, and export a copy. Deleting an entry in the app does not delete an exported file, a shared copy or an operating-system backup. Manage those copies with the appropriate file provider. Removing an installation may remove its local data; save and verify a backup before removing it. No account is offered in this release, so there is no account to delete.
Permissions and third-party components
Backup uses the system document picker and share sheet after you request them; this feature does not need broad photo-library, contact or location access. The app uses local storage and your device's system file picker and share sheet. A file provider or app you choose when saving or sharing a backup may have its own privacy policy.
Support emails
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot. Please do not send backup files or sensitive personal information.

Made in Mom Mode Co. will update this policy before introducing accounts, sync or other services that change how your information is handled. Existing offline entries will not be silently associated with an account.
